Dr Hermann Klein is chairman of the executive board of the German Society for Maritime Technology. He studied mechanical and marine engineering at the Technical University of Hanover.
For several years, he worked as a research scientist and engineer at leading German marine and power plant institutes. In 1992, he received his doctor of engineering degree from the Hamburg University of Technology.
