Scanship Environmental supply systems for treatment of dry garbage, food waste, bio sludge and wastewater. Our total system concept includes incinerators, recycling equipment, vacuum food waste collection, wastewater and bio sludge treatment.

Scanship was one of the first companies in the world to obtain Alaska-approved advanced wastewater treatment systems with a bio-sludge dryer and also carry DnV approval.

CRUISE SHIP WASTE TREATMENT SYSTEMS

Scanship has supplied advanced waste treatment systems to a total of 56 cruise ships including the world’s largest ship; Freedom of the Seas from RCCL. Scanship offers service and operation assistance onboard through our service engineers and online monitoring via internet from our office.

With a total staff of 55 employees, Scanship is headquartered in Norway with subsidiaries in Lithuania for production and in Florida for service and sales.

As the cruise industry gets increasingly environmentally sound, Scanship's 'Total System Concept' provides confidence to the ship owners to be within emission requirements. Our systems are controlled by innovative and advanced control systems, including web-based remote monitoring and diagnostics. By choosing a Total System Concept there is a single point of contact throughout the project for multiple systems and less system interfaces onboard.

INCINERATOR SYSTEMS 600KW – 2,000KW

Our incinerators are designed with the very latest technology in multi-chamber, semi-pyrolysis with flue-gas emission within IMO-MARPOL regulations. The incinerator is capable of meeting the land-based EU regulations, which aligns with the future demands for emissions to air.

FOOD WASTE SYSTEMS

Scanship has developed an efficient system for collecting, transporting by vacuum and further processing food waste.

WASTEWATER SYSTEMS

The Scanship wastewater treatment system will treat all concentrated water waste, managing rapid and big variations.

BIO-SLUDGE TREATMENT SYSTEM

The bio-sludge treatment system is based on proven technology, tailor-made to secure the interface between liquid and solid sludge before final incineration.

RECYCLING SYSTEMS

The recycling system is designed to recycle garbage by compacting aluminum cans, paper, plastic and crushed glass.

MARKETS

Scanship supplies traditionally to most major cruise liners, although our products are increasingly being requested from the merchant fleet and offshore industry. Scanship is now further sharpening its market ambitions to go beyond current products in the cruise industry.
