ACO Marine - Wastewater Management SolutionsACO Marine, a division of the ACO Group of companies with more than 3,600 employees worldwide, is unique in the marine market as the only supplier able to provide the complete wastewater management solution for all ship types and marine structures. All ACO Marine components are manufactured in-house to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 production quality assurance procedures in their wholly owned specialist facilities located strategically throughout the EU. All products are recognised and fully approved by the leading test establishments and ship registers worldwide. The complete design, manufacture, installation and commissioning package is available. BLACK AND GREY WATER TREATMENT UNITSThe range of four Maripur® models cover 25, 50, 100 and 200 people treating black and all grey water. Units can be arranged as multiple installations, complete with wastewater collection, buffering and transfer modules for larger treatment requirements. The internal membrane structure of the Maripur allows for a remarkably small foot print and exceptionally low power requirement. GALLEY WATER GREASE SEPARATION TECHNOLOGYGalley water with its Fats, Oils and Greases (FOGs) is probably the most difficult component of grey water to manage. Effective pre-treatment is crucial to ensure reliable operation of the wastewater treatment plant downstream. A suitable grease separator should be incorporated into any system intended to treat grey water and meet future draft legislation. In a wide range of capacities, (2L, 4L, 7L, 10L and 15L/sec) the ACO Lipator® and ACO Lipatomat® pressurised grease traps are unaffected by ships movement. They are manufactured from stainless steel AISI 304 or 316 with integrated sludge trap. BIOLOGICAL GREASE TRAPSGrease (FOG) accumulates in the upper cone with the sludge dropping to the lower cone. The grease is maintained in a liquid form by heating the upper cone. The cleaned water drains freely and continuously through the grease trap. The accumulated sludge and grease is removed to collecting tanks. Fully resistant to ship movement, ACO Lipator and Lipatomat grease traps are currently the only pressurised systems (patent pending) available in the marine market, eliminating re-mixing due to movement and vibration. In cases where grease extraction is not required (direct overboard discharge or to holding tanks) the area of greatest concern is grease and fat build up within the extended pipe work system. Blockages are the largest single cause of system failure in such cases. ACO Marine's range of biological grease traps use an injection system with an enzyme and bioactivator combination (ACO Clear®) which breaks the molecular chain within the greases and oils and then digests the grease within the grease trap thus eliminating grease build up within the pipework system. SOCKETED PUSH-FIT PIPE SYSTEMS Completing the package is ACO Marine's extensive range of bespoke gulley (scupper) and channel drainage components, push-fit stainless steel and/or coated galvanized steel pipe work systems for vacuum and gravity drainage applications. The GM-X-F range of high pressure push-fit galvanized pipe work for fire protection sprinkler systems is rated to 16bar and tested to 64bar mains pressure.
