Lisnave - Dry-Docking

In November 2005, Crystal Cruises entrusted Lisnave with the dry-docking and refurbishment of its Crystal Serenity vessel.

CRYSTAL SERENITY DRY-DOCKING

During the ten-day dry-docking the vessel hull was hydroblasted and repainted. Propulsion pods, bow thrusters and stabilisers were also overhauled, pipe and valve systems upgraded, and general repairs carried out.

LISNAVE SHIPYARD

In addition to the everyday workforce at the Lisnave shipyard, a number of subcontractors were employed to work on the upgrading programme, and to carry out any additional repairs. Crystal's director of technical operations, Edvin Hatloe, was particularly impressed by the team's single-minded dedication to achieving its goal: making Crystal Serenity's 2005 dry docking an unqualified success.
